In this report, we analyze traffic over the broadband access services operated by IIJ and present the results each year. Here, we again report on changes in traffic trends over the past year, based on daily user traffic and usage by port.
Two years have passed since we discussed SSI in IIR Vol. 43.
Over that time, the technologies and mechanisms needed to make SSI a reality have continued to advance.
These technologies are comprehensively explained in other documents, and here we limit our focus to providing an overview of VCs, which can be considered the core of SSI. We also briefly discuss the implementation of VCs using BBS+ signatures, which have been attracting interest in the community since last year.
One of IIJ's goals is to contribute to the development of the Internet, and one way our lab does this is through its involvement in standardizing new protocols. For years, we have been helping to develop more complete specifications.
Our work involves discussing new protocol specifications, implementing those specifications, and testing interoperability with other implementations.
Since 2013, I have participated in the standardization of HTTP/2 and TLS 1.3. Over the last two and a half years,
I have been involved in the standardization of QUIC and HTTP/3, which are closely related to these two protocols. In this report, I explain how I implemented QUIC and HTTP/3.
