IIJ first listed on the NASDAQ market as that was where Internet-related companies were listed and the U.S. was ahead of Japan in that field. After listing on the U.S. NASDAQ Stock Market, IIJ decided to list on the Tokyo Stock Exchange as most of IIJ's client base is in Japan and we strongly felt the need to increase our name value.

The basic dividend policy of IIJ is that IIJ pays dividends to its shareholders continuously and stably while considering the need to have retained earnings for the enhancement of financial position, med-tolong term business expansion, future business investment and others.
Based on the Articles of Incorporation of IIJ, the frequency of dividend payments is twice each fiscal year, an interim dividend and a year-end dividend. The interim dividend is decided by the meeting of the board directors of IIJ and the year-end dividend is approved at IIJ’s general meeting of shareholders.

During the FY2024-FY2026 mid-term plan, we set the dividend payout ratio target as 30% based on our capital allocation plan which considers an increase in capital investment for further business growth and working capital along with an increase in the acquisition of large-scale projects. We conducted the repurchase of our own shares on May 19, 2023. in accordance with the resolution of the meeting of our Board of Directors held on May 18, 2023. The number of shares repurchased was 3,928,500 shares and aggregate repurchased amount was JPY11,400,507 thousand. The previous repurchase of our own shares before this one was implemented between November 7, 2016 and January 31, 2017, in accordance with the resolution of the meeting of our Board of Directors held on November 4, 2016.
