Provider to add service facilities in two locations in Germany to provide high-quality dedicated Internet Access services to all of Europe

TOKYO-July 11, 2018-Internet Initiative Japan Inc. (IIJ, NASDAQ: IIJI, TSE1: 3774), one of Japan's leading Internet access and comprehensive network solutions providers, and its 100% owned subsidiary IIJ Europe Limited and IIJ Deutschland GmbH, announced that they will begin providing Internet Access Service, which provides dedicated connections services that directly connect to IIJ's high-capacity backbone network by strengthening their platform for service provision in Europe. This service will be available starting today.

Internet Access Service links customer internal networks to IIJ's facilities using dedicated lines to provide high-quality Internet connection environments. Thanks to fault-tolerant design that includes redundancies in carrier connections, cable routes and network equipment, the service makes it possible to guarantee higher reliability. Customers can choose the bandwidth based on their needs from 10Mbps to 1Gbps.

The IIJ Group already provides Internet Access Service in London, one of the company's European locations, but with this step, it will add new facilities for accommodating customer connections to two of its datacenters in Germany (Dusseldorf and Frankfurt) to expand its service provision platform. By building high-quality Internet environments in Germany in addition to those in London, IIJ is improving data connectivity between Japan and Europe.
