INTERNET MULTIFEED CO.
Internet Initiative Japan Inc.
INTERNET MULTIFEED CO. (Multifeed; Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Koichi Suzuki,) announced today that it will add the Shiroi Data Center Campus (Shiroi City, Chiba Prefecture; hereinafter referred to as Shiroi DCC), operated since May 2019 by Internet Initiative Japan Inc. (IIJ; Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Eijiro Katsu), as a base for JPNAP Tokyo Service, an Internet exchange (IX) service provided by Multifeed, and will commence the service in March 2022.
Multifeed has established a base for providing JPNAP Tokyo services, mainly in data centers in the Tokyo metropolitan area. By establishing a base in Shiroi DCC, businesses using Shiroi DCC and data centers in the surrounding Shiroi and Inzai areas will be able to connect to JPNAP Tokyo without having to prepare access facilities to the city center, and will be able to interconnect with content businesses in Japan and overseas, as well as with Internet providers, to efficiently exchange growing Internet traffic.
IIJ is expanding the network at Shiroi DCC based on the concept of a network HUB that connects to various cloud services and suburban data centers, etc. The establishment of the JPNAP Tokyo service provision base at Shiroi DCC will further enhance the value for customers.
Multifeed and IIJ will continue to work together to improve and expand services, support the promotion of digital shifts and the strengthening of the Internet infrastructure that supports them, and provide high-value-added services.
