TOKYO – April 8, 2024 - Internet Initiative Japan Inc. (TSE Prime: 3774), one of Japan's leading Internet access and comprehensive network solutions providers, today announced the establishment on March 28, 2024 of a new sales office in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province, China, by its wholly owned affiliate IIJ Global Solutions Inc. (Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and President: Yoshinobu Inoue) and IIJ Group local subsidiary IIJ Global Solutions China Inc. (Head Office: Shanghai; Chairman: Tatsuo Nishimata). The new office started operations today.

Wuxi, a city in Jiangsu Province adjacent to Shanghai, is home to a concentration of manufacturing industry firms in electronic components, advanced technology, semiconductors and other fields. Numerous international corporations have bases here, among them more than a thousand Japanese-affiliated firms, as Wuxi has advanced remarkably as a comprehensive industrial metropolis, growing to become one of China's leading economic centers. The IIJ Group earlier established a base in Shanghai, providing comprehensive IT services, from office solutions to security services, mainly to local Japanese-affiliated companies. Opening the new Wuxi Sales Office will enable the Group to strengthen sales and support for customers in the greater Wuxi region, while also meeting the growing needs for DX (digital transformation) support at manufacturing sites there and in other main regions of Jiangsu Province including Suzhou, Changzhou, and Changshu, as well as getting actively into Operational Technology Security(*)-related services.

(*)Operational Technology Security: Security in systems and technology for operation of control equipment in factories, plants, and buildings, etc.
