MSCI updated IIJ's ESG rating

MSCI (*) has given IIJ an upgraded ESG rating of “BBB” from “B” on November 3, 2021.

MSCI conducts research on companies' activities related to environmental, social and governance matters and rates companies on a "AAA" to "CCC" scale according to their exposure to industry specific ESG risks and their ability to manage these risks relative to peers.

IIJ has established the "Sustainability Committee", a chairman of which is the President, in August 2021 and has been promoting ESG activities as a group-wide initiative. IIJ has also launched an ESG information site, which has been updated in a timely manner, and has communicated with MSCI. IIJ continues to disclose these activities on the ESG information site etc. to pursue further disclosure.
