MSCI upgraded IIJ's ESG rating to "A" from "BBB"

MSCI (*) has given IIJ an upgraded ESG rating of "A" from "BBB" on September 12, 2023.

MSCI conducts research on companies' activities related to environmental, social and governance matters and rates companies on "AAA" to "CCC" scale according to their exposure to industry specific ESG risks and their ability to manage these risks relative to peers.

Under the corporate governance system described in "Integrated Report Portal," IIJ has established the Sustainability Committee, chaired by the president, to deal with the increasing importance of responding to sustainability-related matters in recent years such as climate change and human capital, and to promote company-wide initiatives across the entire company. IIJ has updated these initiatives on "Integrated Report Portal" in a timely manner, and has continuously communicated with MSCI. IIJ continues to disclose the activities on "Integrated Report Portal" to pursue further disclosure.
